Visitors: Dress Code

Clubhouse

  • A minimum standard of smart casual dress is required in all areas of the Clubhouse at all times.
  • Formal dress (eg jacket and tie for gentlemen) is required:
    In the mixed lounge after 4pm on every Saturday and when attending presentations or other formal events.
    In the dining room when attending Club functions or a dinner.
  • Playing wear is only acceptable if it has not become damp or soiled in any way during the course of play. Caps are never permitted in the Clubhouse.

Course, Practice Ground and elsewhere at the Club

  • Denim jeans, track-suits, collarless shirts and trainers shall not be worn and shirts must be tucked in.
  • Tailored knee length shorts are acceptable provided gentlemen wear long socks.

Mobile Phones

The making and receiving of telephone calls by mobile phones is prohibited on the golf course and in the clubhouse except in the case of a medical emergency.They may be used discreetly in the locker rooms and car park providing no disturbance is caused to others.

Smoking Ban

To comply with the law no smoking is permitted anywhere within the clubhouse building or outbuildings. Smoking on the terrace outside the main lounge and under the Men's entrance canopy (adjacent to the Professional's shop) will be permitted. Staff shall be fully empowered to enforce the ban.


In the interests of all, please respect and observe this code as it causes embarrassment if members or visitors need to be reminded.
