Wilmslow Foursomes 2020
Welcome to the inaugural Wilmslow Foursomes ...
The Wilmslow Golf Club will host an inaugural foursomes competition open to any combination of players - male/female, professional/amateur subject to an Amateur handicap limit of 4 for both men and ladies - from Monday 23rd March 2020 to Thursday 26th March 2020
Everyone will be guaranteed to play the first two days with the losing pairings on day one going into a Plate competition on day two.
Wilmslow Foursomes Special Handicap
All Professional Golfers (Men) will play from a handicap of +1. All Amateurs (Men) will play from a handicap of scratch.
All Professional Golfers (Ladies) will play from a handicap of 2. All Amateurs (Ladies) will play from a handicap of 4.
Amateurs (Men) limited to handicap 4 under the CONGU® Unified Handicapping System.
Amateurs (Ladies) limited to handicap 4 under the CONGU® Unified Handicapping System.
Any combination of partnership may enter and the matches will be played under FULL DIFFERENCE of the Wilmslow Foursomes Special Handicap.
All matches to be played to a finish and if extra holes are played, strokes will be conceded at the same holes as in the first round.
Fee - £190.00 per pair
Entries will close at the end of January and are made online through The Wilmslow Golf Club website.
Entry will be limited to 64 pairs to allow enough time for all games to be completed on days one and two.
The Committee reserves the right to accept entries at its discretion and to substitute pairs for any entries which have scratched prior to the start of the tournament.
If one player has to scratch, then the pair concerned will be scratched. No substitution of individual players will be allowed although a player with a substitute partner may re-enter and will be placed at the bottom of the waiting list.
Copies of the draw will be sent to all competitors not later than Monday, 13th February 2019
Entry fees will not be refunded if cancellation is made after noon on Friday, 3rd March 2019.
Cash Prizes will be awarded to Professionals and Prize Vouchers to Amateurs. Prize Vouchers will conform to current R & A recommended limits.
