We would be grateful if you would comply with the following dress code whilst at the Club which is required for the greater enjoyment of all members and visitors.
On the Course & at the Practice Ground:
GOLF SHIRTS: Shirts must be of a proper golfing style with short or long sleeves and a collar (polo/turtle/zip neck). Shirts must be tucked in.
Ladies may wear golf tops outside trousers/shorts/skirts if they have been designed to do so.
SHORTS: These must be tailored and preferably worn with a belt. Below the knee is too long whilst more than two inches above the knee is likely to be too short.
SOCKS: Socks must be worn when playing on the course. Socks must be worn by gentlemen in the Clubhouse. When playing in shorts, men may wear plain white ankle socks (ie above the ankle ), or plain knee length socks (of any single colour). Anklet or trainer socks are not allowed.
FOOTWEAR: Recognised golf shoes must be worn. Socks must be worn at all times on the course and in the Clubhouse. Flipflops are not permitted at any time.
HEADWEAR: All caps and hats must be worn with the peaks to the front.
In the Clubhouse:
The following are prohibited at all times both on the Course and anywhere in the Clubhouse:
Collarless T-shirts/ Team sports shirts e.g. football or rugby tops or shirts
Shirts worn outside trousers or shorts
Sports shorts/Bermuda style shorts/cargo shorts/leisure shorts
Damp, muddy or otherwise soiled golf wear, waterproofs, caps and other headwear are not permitted in the Clubhouse other than in the locker rooms.
Shorts are not permitted in the Dining Room after 6.00pm
The changing of shoes or clothing in the Club car park is forbidden.
The making and receiving of telephone calls by mobile phones is prohibited on the golf course and in the clubhouse except in the case of a medical emergency.They may be used discreetly in the locker rooms and car park providing no disturbance is caused to others.
To comply with the law no smoking is permitted anywhere within the clubhouse building or outbuildings. Smoking on the terrace outside the main lounge and under the Men's entrance canopy (adjacent to the Professional's shop) will be permitted. Staff shall be fully empowered to enforce the ban.
