Chris Billows Head Professional
Head Professional Chris Billows joined in March 2021 as an Assistant Professional before being appointed to the role in 2026. Chris turned professional at 18 beginning his career at The Belfry before moving to Gleneagles, where he was part of the professional team during the 2014 Ryder Cup, supporting operations and player services throughout the event. Chris later spent several years at Abu Dhabi Golf Club as a PGA Teaching Pro.
As Head Professional, Chris remains actively involved in coaching and custom fitting, utilising Foresight Sports technology to deliver a data-driven, tailored approach that helps members maximise both performance and enjoyment.
Chris is committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for members and visitors, while developing a professional service and team that the club can be proud of.
Rick Eyre – Head Assistant Professional
Rick has been a key member of the team since 2013. He has built a lifelong career in the game having previously worked at Mere Golf & Country Club and Dunham Forest Golf Club, bringing over 15 years of retail and coaching experience.
A fully qualified PGA Professional, Rick continues to develop through ongoing CPD and has established a coaching approach that supports golfers of all ages and abilities. He has also enjoyed success in competition, winning a number of regional PGA events.
At the club, Rick plays a central role within the professional team, delivering coaching, supporting the retail operation, and contributing to the overall member experience.
Ryan Owen – Assistant Professional
A member of The Wilmslow Golf Club since 2018, Ryan joined the team in May 2026. He enjoyed a successful amateur career, representing Cheshire from Under-14 level through to the Men’s First Team. His achievements include winning the Bolton Old Links Trophy in 2023 and finishing runner-up in the Cheshire Strokeplay Championship at Royal Liverpool Golf Club in 2024, shortly before turning professional.
Ryan previously spent seven years at Styal Golf Club, where he developed his experience within a busy club environment. He has completed the first year of his PGA training and continues to build his coaching knowledge and experience.
At Wilmslow, Ryan supports the day-to-day operations of the professional shop while developing his coaching, offering a modern and enthusiastic approach to helping golfers improve.

Our fully refurbished Professional Shop offers a welcoming and modern retail experience, providing everything golfers need both on and off the course. Conveniently located within the clubhouse, the shop is stocked with an extensive range of leading golf equipment, apparel and accessories from some of the game’s most recognised brands.
Golf Club Repair
In addition to retail, the Professional Shop provides a comprehensive golf club repair service, carried out by experienced professionals to the highest standard. Services include re-gripping, re-shafting, loft and lie adjustments and general club maintenance to help keep your equipment performing at its best.

Lessons & Custom Fitting
Our custom fitting and coaching facilities feature the latest technology, including Foresight launch monitors and Vertex putting analysis systems, delivering a first-class experience for players of all abilities. Lessons and fittings are available with our PGA Professional team for both members and visitors.
The Professional Shop stocks and fits equipment from many of the game’s leading manufacturers, including PING, TaylorMade, Titleist and Callaway.

Hire
Powakaddy CT10 electric trollies equipped with GPS are available for rental via the Professional Shop. Two seater ride on buggies are also available for hire.
